These have been compiled by the Development & Publicity Sub-Committee in the absence of an Excursion Secretary. Everyone is very welcome on these trips, you don't need to be an SOS member. They are friendly and open to beginners and experts alike.

Please share cars if possible and remember that at some locations, amenities may not be available. Before attending, please read the Field Trip Guidelines. We look forward to seeing you.

Directions: Middleton Lakes is off the A4091, just six
miles from the M6 and four miles from the M42, north east of Birmingham. By car,
take the A446, then A4091 and look for the brown signs.

right onto B5246 going via Rufford until T-junction, turning left onto A565. At
first roundabout take third turning onto Marine Drive. Car Park at next
junction. If coming from the Liverpool route, follow A565 to and through
Southport.

8.15am
Costs
will be £12.50 for the coach plus entrance fee for those who are not WWT
members. Approx fee (2012) Adult £9.95, Concession £7.68 (65y+, FT student,
